Make Up Store AB and Make Up Shop Sweden AB in Bankruptcy

Make Up Store AB and Make Up Shop Sweden AB were declared bankrupt on March 9, 2021. Advokatfirman Carler is handling the bankruptcies through a team consisting of Linda Schenholm, David Rutegard, and Malin Sanderson.

The operations of the companies—comprising, among other things, 13 owned stores throughout Sweden, an e-commerce platform, reseller and franchise agreements, and an extensive inventory—were offered for sale, after which the operations, following an intensive bidding process and subsequent contract negotiations, were transferred to Lyko. The bidding ultimately stood between three parties with similar operations to Make Up Store, all financially strong.

Lyko will take over the operations as soon as possible. Until then, the bankruptcy estate will continue to operate the business, meaning the stores and online shop remain open as usual.
