TENDER DOCUMENT – Meet i Linköping Aktiebolag in bankruptcy
15 Aug 2025
regarding the sale of assets in the bankruptcy of Meet i Linköping Aktiebolag

Background
Meet i Linköping Aktiebolag, 556677-8220, was declared bankrupt on August 12, 2025, at Linköping District Court, whereby attorney Linda Schenholm at Advokatfirman Carler was appointed bankruptcy trustee.
Meet i Linköping Aktiebolag (“the company”) has been operating since 2005 in the production of kebab meat. Since 2016, the business has been conducted from leased factory premises with an area of approximately 2,000 sqm at Idögatan 45 in Linköping. The company offers high-quality Swedish-made kebab meat to both restaurant wholesalers and companies in the grocery trade. The company currently has over 30 employees.
The company’s operations are currently being continued by the bankruptcy estate.
The Product
The vision is to create a high-quality end product for the company’s customers through in-house production, proprietary recipes, and licensed products. Through an unbroken cold chain from raw material to finished product, the company can provide goods that meet all requirements for quality and food safety. Consequently, the company holds, among other things, an FSSC 22000 certificate. Through the company’s focus on quality and safety, it has gained significant market advantages and has long been a well-established player in the Nordic market.
The largest part of the company’s turnover consists of the sale of “white label” products, which are produced for several of the largest retail chains in the grocery trade in the Swedish and Nordic markets. The products are packaged in the company’s premises and sold under each respective player’s own brands. In addition, a large part of the turnover consists of sales of the company’s original kebab to restaurant wholesalers. The product is pre-cut and sold in 2 kg packages. The company also manufactures larger kebab skewers for restaurant wholesalers.
The company has also, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Lazy Foods AB, launched its own product range, Lazy Kebab, for sale in the grocery trade.
Production Scale and Infrastructure
The company’s production facilities are modern and constitute one of the larger factory premises of its kind in Europe. The factory is equipped with, among other things, 30 grills, several robots that cut the meat, advanced freezing facilities that allow for immediate freezing of the product to enable the longest possible shelf life, and packaging machines. Interested parties can view a film of the company’s business premises here .
The company has so far produced approximately 45 tons of meat per week. However, the facilities have significant unutilized capacity for further production. According to calculations carried out by the company, existing facilities have a physical capacity to produce approximately 95 tons of meat per week. Production reaching the physical maximum capacity would, at current price levels, have meant an average turnover of approximately SEK 7.2 million per week.
The annual rent for the company’s premises amounts to SEK 2.4 million excluding VAT, without index adjustments. The local rent for September 2025 amounts to approximately SEK 327,000 according to the rent invoice. The company’s landlord is the municipal real estate company Sankt Kors Fastighets AB.
During the financial year 2023-09-01 – 2024-08-31, the company had a turnover of approximately SEK 145 million. During the period 2024-09-01 to 2025-07-31, the company’s turnover amounted to approximately SEK 118 million.
Based on the existing customer base as of the date of bankruptcy, the company has had a turnover of approximately SEK 3 – 3.5 million per week. Had the company been able to meet the demand of existing and additional customers, the turnover could contractually have amounted to nearly SEK 5.8 million. In addition, the company has held extensive discussions with potential customers, through which it is estimated that turnover could have increased by a further SEK 1.2 million to a total turnover of approximately SEK 7 million per week.

Information about the screening authority, a list of critical raw materials and metals and minerals covered by the FDI Act (in Appendix 1 to the Ordinance), and information on which activities are classified as “emerging technologies and other strategically sensitive technology” (in Appendix 2 to the Ordinance) can be found in the Ordinance (2023:624) on the Screening of Foreign Direct Investments.
