Background

On August 14, 2025, Moderatho & Co AB, 556184-8630, was declared bankrupt by Attunda District Court and attorney Gustav Kling at Advokatfirman Carler was appointed as bankruptcy trustee.

The company is described by its owners as a “Printing house with many possibilities” and is a family business with over 50 years of experience in the printing industry. The business has broad production capacity and provides an extensive range of products, including everything from signs and decals to custom-designed articles and laser-engraved panels.

The company’s vision has been to provide tailored solutions for various customer needs through strategic collaborations with partners in complementary industries, including sheet metal processing, water cutting, and carpentry. Against this background, the company has built up a solid customer register comprising clients in several different industries, including the Swedish Forest Agency. This constitutes a stable foundation for the company’s future growth and continued development.

Since 2012, the company’s operations have been conducted from premises in Rosendal Industrial Area in Vallentuna, with a total area of approximately 700 square meters. The company’s premises contain well-equipped machinery, including a punching machine, engraving machine, laminating press, and various types of screen printing machines. During the financial year 2023-05-01—2024-04-30, the company had a net turnover of SEK 4,095,000.

The company currently has two employees in addition to the owner who work full-time in the business. The operations are currently being continued under the administration of the bankruptcy estate.

The Business and Its Assets

The bankruptcy estate hereby requests proposals for the business and its assets:

a) Fixtures and machinery, listed in Appendix 1,

b) Inventory consisting of various consumables (please note that the bankruptcy estate is currently continuing the company’s operations, which means the inventory is continuously used to complete products),

c) Intangible assets in the form of the domain name “Moderatho.se”,

d) Customer register,

e) The right to assume the company’s existing agreements with, for example, customers, suppliers, and landlord (subject to the counterparty’s approval),

f) All shares in the subsidiary Moderatho Holding AB, 556752-4458.

Reservations

The bankruptcy estate transfers all property in its existing condition. It is the buyer’s responsibility to carry out the necessary inspection of the property in order to determine, for example, the scope of the property and to identify any defects or deficiencies. The bankruptcy estate provides no guarantees regarding the accuracy or completeness of the information provided.

The bankruptcy estate provides no guarantees regarding the possibilities for a purchaser to use or dispose of intellectual property rights. Use of transferred intellectual property rights is at the purchaser’s risk.

A takeover of property covered by agreements regarding, for example, rent, leasing, or installment payment requires approval from the counterparty in the respective agreement.

The bankruptcy estate reserves the right to correct any typographical errors or inaccuracies in this tender documentation.

Conduct of the Bidding Process

Proposals are accepted primarily for the entire business and secondarily for parts of the business and its assets.

Interested parties are hereby requested to submit written proposals, excluding value-added tax, for the entire business or parts of the business and its assets. Proposals must be submitted to the bankruptcy trustee through Ellen Berglund at [email protected], no later than September 2, 2025 at 12:00 PM.

All bids must be financed and payable immediately and must clearly state the bidder’s name and contact details.

The bankruptcy estate reserves the right to freely evaluate received proposals as well as the right to sell all or part of the business while the proposal process is ongoing and the right to extend the proposal deadline.
